College Hosting Fine Arts Camp June 15-19 |

Limestone professors Carrie Ameling, Tim Baxter-Ferguson and Erin Pushman are part of a joint project of Theatre Charlotte and Florence Crittenton Services to present “Miracle Kick,” a collection of monologues and vignettes about what it means to be a single mother in today’s world. Limestone students Melissa Scott (Stage Manager) and Joey Mayberry (Assistant Stage Manager) are also part of the production. Gaffney native and Limestone alumna Sara Kier is an actor in the play.
This full-length play will be performed on the main stage at Theatre Charlotte in Charlotte, NC on May 28-30. Thursday night’s performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. The performances begin at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students. Heart of Limestone makes it back from brink

When Limestone College President Walt Griffin returned from the hospital one month after suffering a near-fatal heart attack in January, he saw a huge welcome-home banner hanging over the garage in his driveway that had been signed by hundreds of students, faculty and staff. more

Ten Limestone students traveled to Newberry College on April 19 to compete in the South Carolina Speech and Theater Festival. The students from Limestone’s Theater Department and Dr. Carrie Ameling’s Public Speaking classes competed against students from ten other schools and placed in several categories. more |

| Limestone art professor Carolyn Ford and her husband Logan Richardson, who works in the College’s Maintenance Department, have recent works of art on display at Motlow State Community College in Lynchburg, Tennessee until May 6. more |

Former Limestone College President Dr. William J. Briggs, Sr. passed away at his home in Savannah, GA, on Friday, April 24. Dr. Briggs served Limestone first as director of development and later became president, serving in that capacity from 1979-1985.
A memorial service remembering Dr. Briggs was held in the Camp-Swofford Chapel on April 30.

Limestone College is proud to announce it will host the 2009 Carolinas Challenge Walk MS on May 29-31. The Challenge Walk MS is a three-day, 50-mile walk event to raise money for multiple sclerosis, a chronic disease that affects the central nervous system. The walk will be one of nine held across the United States. more |
