Mike Cerino - Head Coach

Mike Cerino is entering his ninth season as Head Lacrosse Coach of Limestone College. Starting the program from its foundation in 1990, Cerino built Limestone Lacrosse into a top ranked, Division II team.
Under Coach Cerino's tenure, Limestone lacrosse has been a nationally ranked team in Division II every year since 1993 and has been honored with fourteen (14) All American selections over the same five year span. In 1995, Limestone was recognized for its overall excellence with the presentation of the Jim "Ace" Adams Sportsmanship Award which is given to a select few programs each year in recognition of their excellence in competition and sportsmanship.
Also under Coach Cerino's direction, Limestone has been a part of the Deep South League since its formation in 1994. The Saints captured a share of the league title in 1994 and has had twenty five All League selections, including 12 First Team recipients. Furthermore, Coach Cerino was named League Coach of the Year in 1994.

A native of Cold Spring Harbor, NY, Coach Cerino came to Limestone after serving as Defensive Coordinator for the Victorian State team in their 1988 triumphant effort in the Australian Under 17 National Championship. In addition, Coach Cerino was selected by the Lacrosse Foundation to be a member of the staff at the 1994 Team USA tryouts. In 1993 and 1994, Coach Cerino has been chosen to represent the NCAA with their prestigious "Youth Education through Sports" lacrosse clinic. Coach Cerino was also a finalist for NCAA Division II Coach of the Year in 1995.
Coach Cerino has been recognized by his peers for his coaching excellence and accomplishments in 1995 when he was selected as a coach for the South team, along with Navy Coach Rich Meade, in the 53rd Annual Division I North/South Lacrosse Classic.
More recently, Coach Cerino was selected to serve on the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Committee this past summer.
Coach Cerino earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Pfeiffer University in 1988 and a Master's degree in Physical Education from Gardner-Webb University in 1996. Cerino was married in November 1992 to Christine Marie Cerino. The couple lives in Gaffney, S.C. with their son Ryan Thomas who was born February 8, 1996 right in time to open the spring season.
Chris Phenicie - Assistant Coach
Chris Phenicie, a native of Glen Burnie, MD, is entering his seventh season on the Limestone Lacrosse staff. Coaching primarily the team's midfielders, Coach Phenicie will also head Limestone's extra-man unit.
| A 1982 graduate of Andover H.S. where he participated in the Maryland High School State Championships, Coach Phenicie played collegiate lacrosse at Pfeiffer University where he was a teammate with Coach Cerino. |
He also served as a student assistant coach at Pfeiffer in 1988. After taking time off from school, Coach Phenicie earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Limestone in 1993 and is currently Director of Admissions at Limestone.
Mike Sessa - Assistant Coach

Mike Sessa is in his fifth year at Limestone as an assistant coach. He will serve as Offensive Coordinator at Limestone as well as working with the faceoff unit. Coach Sessa is also responsible for recruiting and handling administrative duties.
| A native of Lindenhurst N.Y., Sessa lettered in lacrosse three times at Lindenhurst H.S. and received All-League honors in 1988. Coach Sessa is a 1993 graduate of Limestone College where he excelled both academically and athletically. |
He was captain of the Saints' squad which ranked #5 in the USILA Division II Lacrosse Final Poll. Coach Sessa is third on the Saints' all-time scoring list.
Chad Moore - Assistant Coach

| Chad Moore is entering his second season on the Saints Lacrosse Staff. Coach Moore, 25, is a former Saints goalie and an All County selection from Glenelg High School in Maryland. Coach Moore joined the coaching staff after a playing and coaching tour in Australia. Coach Moore works with the goaltenders and the defense for the Saints. |
